This Privacy Policy explains how Zoogly (“Zoogly”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with our website zoogly.app and the mobile applications we publish (collectively, the “Services”), including Ruler: Tape Measure & Level. We design our apps to collect as little personal data as possible.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

If you contact us by email, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message. We use it only to respond to you.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data. Our apps may collect anonymous technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, country and crash reports, as well as aggregated in-app events (for example, which feature was opened). This data helps us fix bugs and improve the apps.
  • Purchase data. If an app offers subscriptions or in-app purchases, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We receive a pseudonymous transaction record (no payment card details) to unlock the purchased features and manage your subscription.
  • Advertising identifiers. Where an app shows ads or where we measure the performance of our own advertising campaigns, we may process the advertising identifier of your device (IDFA / GAID), subject to your consent where required (for example, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt).

Camera and sensors

Ruler uses your device camera and motion sensors to measure distances, lengths and angles. Camera images are processed on your device in real time and are not uploaded to us or stored by us.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate and maintain the Services;
  • To diagnose crashes, fix bugs and improve features;
  • To process and manage purchases and subscriptions;
  • To measure and improve our marketing;
  • To respond to your requests and provide support;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services

We rely on trusted third-party providers that process data on our behalf. Depending on the app, these may include:

  • Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution, payments, subscriptions);
  • Crash reporting and analytics providers (e.g. Firebase);
  • Subscription management providers (e.g. RevenueCat);
  • Advertising and attribution networks (e.g. Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads).

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We keep anonymous analytics and crash data for as long as it is needed to improve the Services. Support emails are kept for as long as necessary to handle your request. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, California and other jurisdictions), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent to tracking at any time in your device settings. To exercise your rights, email us at apps@zoogly.app.

6. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
